Zhaleo RIo inaugurates badminton stadium at Medziphema village

Dimapur, Dec. 15 (EMN): A new indoor badminton stadium along with rostrum was inaugurated by advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, at Medziphema village on Thursday.

The indoor stadium was constructed under LADP Iconic Project 2021-22 through the initiative of local legislator Zhaleo Rio and support of the state government, an update stated.

Addressing the gathering after dedication of the stadium, Zhaleo acknowledged the villagers for their positive cooperation in all spheres throughout the construction period. He said the large stadium can also be used conveniently as a multipurpose hall

He called upon the youths to utilise the stadium to its optimum citing that the prospect in games and sports are only increasing except for the fact that sportspersons should maintain “strict discipline, good dietary habits, strong determination and institutionalised training.”

Speaking on the upcoming state assembly election, Zhaleo stressed that election processes will be conducted “with or without a solution of the Naga political imbroglio.” He advised people to be wary of adversaries and instead, advised the villagers to remain committed to the principles of truthfulness and unbiased judgement.

On tribal lines, Rio stated that Ghaspani-II assembly constituency is a conglomerate of all tribes, caste and groups and that “tribalism should never be made an issue or a scapegoat for political motives and interests.”

Neikhonyü Kuotsu, GB, expressed gratitude to the state government and chief minister Neiphiu Rio, who “wholeheartedly intervened from the beginning during his tenure as MP, Nagaland, and executed the construction works meticulously.”

Dosau Kuotsu, president, NDPP, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C also lauded Zhaleo Rio for “bringing many infrastructure developments in the constituency,” including the Indoor Stadium at Medziphema village.
