Dimapur, Feb. 4: The Zeliangrong apex organisations- All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (AZSU), Assam, Manipur & Nagaland and Zeliangrong Baudi (ZB), Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AMN), while condemning the unbecoming acts of the unruly mobs vandalizing and burning the government buildings and private properties, which is alien to the Naga culture, appealed all Naga brothers to strengthen and foster the bond of unity against all forces of division in this crucial juncture to live in peace and harmony for the brighter future of the Nagas.
The organisations also expressed heartfelt sorrow and conveyed deepest condolence over the unfortunate and untimely demised of two innocent youth on January 31 at Dimapur in Police firing against the protestors on ULB election. The unions further pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.
Nagaland RJD: Nagaland RJD while sharing sadness and concern over the prevailing situation in the state said “how can we move forward with this kind of bloodshed and to achieve our destiny of hope by loosing unity among ourselves.
President Khetovi Kinny and general secretary Mhademo Lotha, in a press release stated “Due to our selfishness and greediness, peace among us is losing. What shall we offer for the upcoming generation if we mess up like this?”
RJD called upon all the right thinking citizens to unite as one for the nation. “We should forget and forgive our past mistakes and think optimistically for our future, only then we can achieve our goal” it added. It also appealed to the people of Nagaland to join hands and work together in the name of peace, love and unity.
Further, the party mourned the death of the two youths late Bendangnunsang Longkumar and late Khriesavizo Metha who sacrificed their lives for cause and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
