Wokha, March 8 (EMN): Youths are urged to lead morally acceptable lives and reject what is wrong. A three-day long interdenominational youth revival programme organised by the Wokha Town Pastors’ Fellowship culminated on March 8 at the Wokha Town Baptist Church in Wokha. The theme of the programme was “Remember your creator” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
Thousands of youths from different churches from different denominations came together to worship, which started on March 6.
Rev. Vikuo Rhi, youth secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, was the speaker of the youth revival programme. He spoke about how to renew oneself and escape the clutches of sin.
He urged the congregation to give up and do away with sin ‘from the beginning and become a better and a new creation’ through Jesus Christ.
Rhi spoke about youths of the modern generation being bound by sin and committing sin, and being in broken relationships with family, friends, or being addicted to ‘gambling, drugs and alcohol, addiction to social media; having abortions or engaging in sexual relationships, prostitution, homosexuality, rape, murder, kidnapping, satanic worship and live-in relationships,’ which is common among youths today. He called upon the congregation to reject involving in or committing crime and sin.
The other speaker of the youth revival was evangelist Chenithung Shitiri, director of the All Christian Fellowship Dimapur.
