A Yamaha dealer cum showroom opened at Pakhangba Motors Manipur Chingmeirong West in Imphal today. The Managing Director of Yamaha motor India sales Pvt Ltd Masaki Asano inaugurated the show room in a simple gathering in presence of Roy Kurian Vice President Sales & Marketing Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd at its new outlet at Chingmeirong.
Speaking to media after the formal inauguration, Managing Director Masaki Asano said that Yamaha products became one of the favorite motorcycle and two wheelers in Indian roads.
Vice President Roy Kurian said number of Yamaha loving customers has increased and it occupies 30 to 35 percent market share in the country. After launching Yamaha scooter (Ray and Ray G) in 2012, the company had also launched another model called Alpha in February this year. With opening of new factory at Chennai after successful run at Surajpur factory near Noida, the company is also planning to launch a product by next year, he added. Yamaha is expanding its sales and service network across India in order to take its products closer to its customer base particularly in the tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Currently Yamaha Motor India has more than 400 dealerships across India including 18 dealers in North Eastern states and plans to spread out and increase its dealer network to 2500 by 2016, according to Roy Kurian Vice President Sales & Marketing.
