Xiaomi launches Snapdragon 778G powered Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G in India

Dimapur, September 29 (EMN): A day after South Korean tech giant Samsung launched its Snapdragon 778G powered Galaxy M52 5G smartphone in India, Chinese tech company Xiaomi has followed suit with its Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G.

Similar to the Galaxy M52 5G, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC and has a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) 10-bit flat Polymer OLED true-colour display. It has support for a 90Hz refresh rate, unlike the Galaxy M52 5G which has a 120Hz refresh rate, however, it has support for 12 bands of 5G as opposed to 11 bands on the Galaxy M52 5G.

The device comes with a three-camera setup including a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP secondary ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP tele macro lens. For selfies, a 20MP camera is housed in the front of the device.

The device runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. It packs a 4,250mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Other notable features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, IR blaster, USB Type-C port, 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision support.

The new Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G comes in two storage variants: 6GB + 128GB at INR 26,999 and 8GB + 128 GB at INR 28,999. The device comes in Diamond Dazzle, Tuscany Coral, Vinyl Black, and Jazz Blue colours.

The device will go on sale on October 2 at 12am IST and will be available at all major online stores including Mi.com and Amazon.
