Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): Under the ‘New Dimapur Project’, the 15 women representatives from 10 Self-help Groups (SHG) from Dimapur II on how to start small-scale amla powder and tomato ketchup processing units so that they can become economically self-reliant.
The training, which was held from Sep. 12-18, was organised by Zatara Pvt. Ltd. in association with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, GoI; Skill India, GoI, STRY programme under National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management and State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) Nagaland.
A press release received here informed that the trainees were given knowledge on food preservation, processing packaging FSSAI standards and regulations branding and marketing of their products by Sentinaro Alley and Washipong Longkumer from Zatara and Sentibenla and Tzubentula from ATMA Dimapur
It informed that the 10 SHGs were a part of the 300 SHGs formed under the aegis of the ‘New Dimapur Project’ which is aimed to support such SHGs through various livelihood generation programmes and to create a local economy where women entrepreneurs can independently operate small and medium scale industries.
