Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): Wokha district observed the World Malaria Day in all the blocks and villages on April 25 on the theme ‘Zero malaria ends with me.’
In Wokha block, students from various schools attended the programme at LTC hall, Wokha, wherein Dr. Zathung Lotha, DVBO, conducted the programme and also delivered the keynote address.
Zuchamo, MTS Wokha block, gave a brief speech on malaria scenario of Wokha district, while a short speech on the theme was delivered by Lumdeno, student from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS), Wokha.
The programme was followed with a procession by shouting slogans and displaying banners of World Malaria Day.
Similar programmes were also conducted by DVBD consultants, MTS, and NVBDCP staff in Chukitong, Sanis, Bhandari and Wozhuro blocks.
