What is the Priority of Nagaland?
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]orld leading nation leaders Tony Blair and Prime Minister David Cameron whose nation was established hundres of years ago still said ‘My priority is Education, Education, Education.” It is the right prioritiy because they knew that Education is the solution and answer to his nation. If Nagaland must have a priority, it must be Education.
Seeing our cute children, we want everyone of them to become a person of value, peace, and asset of society, and a positive plus addition to human family. But the power of classrom will make it. If we think of a social salvation, it is a strong foundation of education. In education, our kids learn the direction of right and wrong and difference of love nd hatred. Education is the orbit of bibilcal principle of training children (Prov 22:6). Education can put our generation on the rigth circuit of life rotation.
Education in relation to Liquor Prohibition
We must talk less about liquor or alcoholism but talk much more about education and its praxis. While talking about total lift or partial lift or total ban, why not we talk loud about value of education of our children in school who will become our lifeblood and life-nerves? Our upcoming generation will learn ethical relativism and self-actualization as proper education is given to them. Educated and civilized generation will lead a society to secular value, constructive demonstration, living motivation, and healthy principle of coexistence. We must deliver the stuff to our generation. Education with flat creationism is the best way to save generation from hunting killers of our youth. Rooted education will uproot social evils.
Education and Public Welfare
The question is ‘Should I love myself more than loving others or love others before I love myself?’ Mishandling this issue becomes a shooting star. Beginning must begin with our kids today in education system. We talk about public property, recreational facility for both youth and old people as well. We cry for justice and equality. All this has a root. Education can bring transformation and ultra-transformation to our society. We talk about excelling America, Japan, UK, Singapore or South Korea, seeing them. We must put their examples into practice in education system.
Education and National Vision
Deep root of education will continue national vision on proper circuit though our pioneers will retire or discontinue. Inspiration for national destiny all depends upon how our youth are rooted in education. Social sciences of different nations (India or International history) reminds us of our uniqueness and distinctiveness. It is too early to fossilize our national cause. Education can integrate who we are in its system.
Education and Economic Stabilization
We may have many pririoties but they will die in the hands of our youth if they are not properly oriented and systematized. Education can ventilate our windows to the world, civilization and progress. It will lead us to the next century with proper vision and outlines.
Beyond traditional worldview of Reading, Writing and Speaking, Education must transcend to active working hand, healthy participation in national building, self-employment and stewardship, and conscience of love and harmony. Education is mightier than rifles, wealth and possession. Education is the root of the following human subjects: Sound spiritual stability ,Social peace and harmony ,Economic progress ,Sound national vision ,Political stability,Clean management of people’s affair ,Human advancement,Science and technology,Communication and connectivity,Civic sense and public welfare Human coexistence and relations ,Health and transformation ,Global concern and love,Family stability Managing privatization . Our land must be in the hands of balanced educated people. Education can pre-empt and intercept the arrows of subversive, divisive and perversive invasion. The need is Quality and Practical education. Parents, teachers, public, government and students must collectively partner and work together toward desired type of education. Nagaland will become a different land if there are 10,000 committed teachers. Nagaland can be unique if each family can groom a good teacher to teach the succeeding generation. Schools are our girders and refineries. As Nagaland is set to observe another Teachers Day, let us seriously view the need of EDUCATION as Nagaland priority.
