Western Sumi Kukami Hoho donates towards fight against Covid-19
Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): The newly inducted team of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) led by president Phushito Ayemi along with general secretary of Western Sumi Hoho Kisheto Chishi paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Anoop Khinchi on July 21 and donated INR 50, 000 towards the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ayemi lauded the DC for his tireless efforts towards Covid-19 related works in Dimapur and assured WSKH’s support and co-operation to the district administration, stated an update issued by the information and publicity secretary of WSKH, Khekishe Aye.
Assistant General Secretary of WSKH Hukuto Khulu informed the DC that there are 168 Sumi villages within the jurisdiction of WSKH and accordingly all the Sumi GBs have been rendering tireless services in this common fight against the pandemic, informed the update.
Aye also thanked the Food & Civil Supplies department for timely distribution of relief items like rice, daal, channa etc. under PMGKAY, while WSKH Highway Area GB president Tokishe Achumi expressed concern over further relaxation of market opening timings to facilitate the public.
