Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): To prevent transmission of vector borne diseases, the Dimapur Municipal Council has announced that all citizens under Dimapur municipality will indulge in mass social work every Saturday, starting this month, from 7 am to 8 am.
The council issued this notice on April 26. It has informed all the residents to completely remove or drain stagnant water from utensils, flowerpots, drainages etc. within their respective compounds.
It has authorised the colony chairman or GB to monitor the social work as well as levy penalty of INR 500 if they find any household with stagnant water within their compound.
