Wakching Area Students’ Union sports meet concludes

DIMAPUR — The 8th sports meet and 37th general session of the Wakching Area Students’ Union (WASU), held under the theme ‘Sporting Culture and Identity,’ at Chingdang village, Mon, concluded on February 14.

Wekok Konyak, a contractor from Naginimora who was the guest of honour in the closing ceremony, lauded the WASU for the successful and peaceful conclusion of the event in his address, according to an update.

He also advised the area youths to focus on sports activities and strive to become professionals.

Athletic and indigenous games were also introduced during the sporting meet, it said.
