Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): The first Dzükou Cup U-19 Football League of Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) successfully concluded on May 18 with Viswema Youth Organisation (VYO) emerging as the champions after beating Kidima Youth Organisation (KYO) 3-1 in the final match.
The fairest team was awarded to Jakhama Youth Organisation. The most promising player was awarded to Kedukhoto Rote while Kelengul Toso received the player of the tournament award. The best custodian award went to Oyol Luho while Nosal Pucho and Kelethuto Kin received the highest scorer award with six goals apiece.
Earlier, Thono Kechü, President, Southern Angami Women Organisation (SAWO) attended the closing function as the guest of honour. In her speech, Kechü exhorted the young talents to abide by the rules and norms of a good player and refrain from all the bad habits that are harmful. She also reminded all the players that, display of skills and performances should be impressible to those who watches the match. Trophies, mementos, certificates and cash awards were handed over to all the winners in the presence of Vimeyol Theyo, President SAPO.
