Vineyard School takes quiz competition

Kohima, Sep. 28 (EMN): Vineyard School in Kohima took the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association’s (ANPSA) quiz competition that was held at St. Mary Cathedral hr. sec. school on September 28 in Kohima.

The principal director of School Education, Shanavas C, attended the competition as its guest of honour and exhorted the students there. In his address, the officer talked about how one needs to be thorough with the general knowledge when preparing for important competitive exams such as the civil service examinations. Taking part in quiz competitions will also help them, the students were told.

Shanavas advised the students to be knowledgeable in order to lead the society and urged them to acquire knowledge.

Out of the 31 schools in Kohima that took part, ten schools cleared the preliminary rounds.

Later, four schools namely Alderville school, Loyola school, St. Mary Cathedral hr. sec school and Vineyard school vied for the grand prize.

After a tough quiz, Vineyard topped the quiz competition, followed by St. Mary Cathedral in the second position and Alderville in the third place.

The top two winners will represent Kohima’s ANPSA unit in the state quiz competition that is scheduled to be held on October 22 in the NBCC’s platinum hall in Kohima.
