Dimapur, Jan. 20: As NITI Ayog is preparing a 15-Year Vision Document for India, all village councils are asked to hold special meeting on the Republic Day on January 26 across the country.

In this connection, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome directed all the village councils in Dimapur to hold special meeting on the Republic Day and to list out their top priorities in order of importance to them. The sectors they may consider include education, employment, health, sanitation, agriculture, infrastructure like roads etc.
All the residents of the village are advised to actively participate in the meeting. The respective administrative officers are also directed to involve themselves in organising these meeting in their respective circles. This should be given utmost seriousness as inputs received from the village councils will be collated by the district administration as part of the vision of the district and submitted to the NITI Ayog. He said priorities of the villages will be given serious consideration for submission to the Prime Minister for a Citizens’ Vision of India.
