Vijay Hazare Trophy: Nagaland up against neighbour Assam today

Dimapur, Sep. 27 (EMN): In what could have been a win for Nagaland in their first match, rain played spoilsport when Manipur was struggling at 44 for two in 8.4 overs. Playing the first match of Round 1, Plate on September 24, captain of Nagaland Jonathan Rongsen scored a brilliant 104 runs in 150 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes.

Rongsen’s solo act helped Nagaland put up a decent score of 205 runs, losing seven wickets in 50 overs.

With the first match washed out, Nagaland will now look to win against neighbour Assam on Saturday, September 28.
