Vijay Hazare Trophy: Nagaland lose to Assam by 70 runs

Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): Nagaland lost to Assam by 70 runs in their Vijay Hazare Trophy encounter at Tanush Academy Ground in Dehradun on Wednesday, October 2. After losing the toss and put in to bat by Nagaland, Assam was all out for 207 runs in 47. 4 overs. Abu Nechim, Rahul Hazarika, and Roshan Alam scored 31, 29, and 28 runs for Assam.

Nagaho took five wickets for Nagaland while Hokaito took two wickets.

SS Mundhe and Tahmeed chipped in with one wicket apiece.

Chasing 208 runs to win, Nagaland were bundled out for 137 runs in 41.4 overs.

Jonathan was the main contributor for Nagaland scoring 46 runs while YV Takawale and SS Mundhe scored 21 and 16 runs respectively.

Pritam Das took five wickets for Assam with Riyan Parag chipping in with two wickets.
