Two minors killed in Manipur blast

Imphal, Jan 21 (EMN):Two minor boys were killed while three others including two minor girls sustained injury when a hand grenade exploded in a hill village in Manipur on Sun.
The incident happened reportedly after the children found a live hand grenade from a place near the house of an ex-pastor at Sabunglong (Leisok) village, about 8km east of Khoupum police station in Manipur’s Noney district at around 9.30 am, sources said. The village is located about 80 km south east of Imphal.
Local sources said that one of the deceased boys died at the spot while another succumbed to the injuries on way to RIMS hospital in Imphal for medical aid. The other three injured children including two minor girls are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
A police complaint has been registered with the Khoupum police station and investigation is going on to find out the details of the incident in the village, police sources from Noney district said when contacted over phone.
The deceased minor boys have been identified as Jangdai Kamei (9) son of (L) L Kamei and Silas Kamei (5) son of Kh Kamei of Subunglong village.
The three other injured minors are Gaillianshui Gonmei (5) son of Kakinthai; Zaojianthuliu Kamei (2) daughter of Gaijaini Kamei; and Guillianei Kamei (4) daughter of Gairihpou Kamei of the same village in Noney district.
