Two buildings gutted in Tuensang

Dimapur, October 7: Two residential buildings were reported to have reduced to cinder at Saksi NAP Sector (13th Ward) in Tuensang town on October 6. However, no loss of human life was reported from the incident.
Reports stated that two residential buildings were completely burnt down, which originated from an electric short circuit at around 11 a.m. on October 6. It said the fire, which lasted for nearly an hour, completely destroyed the property, all documents and belongings of all the four families residing in the building.Meanwhile, the Chang Union (CU) and Chang Students’ Union (CSU) of Saksi NAP Sector (13th Ward) have lauded the Fire Service Tuensang and police personnel for their timely intervention and necessary steps initiated to douse the fire. The unions also thanked the administrator, TTC, and 3rd Bn. NAP Tuensang for providing the vehicle and man power for clearing up the remnants.
The unions have further acknowledged the public and well-wishers for rendering their valuable services in times of crisis towards the effected families.
Meanwhile, CU vice president, H Wongto Chang, and CSU president, Nato Y Chang, have appealed to the District Disaster Management Authority Tuensang to provide immediate relief to the affected families.
