Tshetshulu, Aiden win Hipfest competition

Kisama, Dec. 8 (EMN): Photographers from within and outside Nagaland participated in the Hipfest, the results of which were declared here at Kisama on Thursday. 

Jointly organised by the Portrait Enterprises, department of Information and Public Relations, in collaboration with the Art and Culture department, the Hipfest was a competition and photography exhibition. The theme for this year’s edition was ‘Colours of Nagaland.’

In the seniors’ category, Tshetshulu Naro from Kohima won the first place, Irengbam Momocha Singh from Manipur secured the second position and Pelevizo Meyase secured the third position. The three winners were awarded INR 25,000, INR 20,000, and INR 15,000 respectively.

Aiden from Dimapur won first prize in the juniors’ category (class 10 and below), while Avidi Anar and Mezhuni Nagi were placed first and second runner-ups respectively. The first three winners walked away with INR 10,000, INR 7,000 and INR 5,000 respectively.

Parvej Akhtar (Kolkata), Pelevizo Meyase (Kohima), Monalisa Kar (Kolkata), and Mezizo Swiho (Kohima) won consolation prizes of INR 5,000 each.

The judges for this year’s edition were Jan Skwara, Kekhriezhazo Miachieo and Merimvu Doulo.

The joint director of IPR, I Simon Teilia, and the deputy director of IPR, Siwatho S Nyusou, gave away the prizes to the winners.
