Training on HIV/AIDS (P&C) Act 2017 held in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, Dec. 6 (EMN): Mokokchung District AIDS Prevention Control Unit (DAPCU), collaboration with the district administration and members from community-based organisation (CBOS), conducted a one-day training on HIV/AIDS (P&C) Act 2017 in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office in Mokokchung on December 6. The training is sponsored by the NSACS.

During the training, WV Patton, chief judicial magistrate and secretary of Mokokchung district legal services association (DLSA), made a powerpoint presentation on the salient features of the HIV/AIDS (P&C) Act, 2017, roles and responsibilities of ombudsman and complaint officers.

The keynote address was delivered by Makshi Jamir, DPO of DAPCU.

The training was attended by ADC Mokokchung, administrative officers, officials from various departments and members from civil societies.
