Training camp for NCC underway

Mokokchung, March 4 (EMN):
A 10-day combined annual training camp for members of the National Cadet Corps’ (NNC) boys and girls from various districts of Nagaland commenced at the CRPF camp in Mokokchung from February 27 at the CRPF Camp at New Reserve in Mokokchung.

The camp is organised by the 25th Nagaland Coy NCC of Mokokchung under the supervision of Colonel V Ahlawat, commanding officer. 

Featuring among the camp’s activities was dills in emergency response and associated tactics. Personnel of the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Service and the state disaster response force conducted lectures besides demonstration sessions and class for the NCC cadets on March 3.

The cadets were taught in the various methods of extinguishing a fire and also in how to help and act during emergencies.

During the course of training, cadets will be imparted training in various subjects such as drills, weapon training, map reading, first aid, adventure, self-defence, military history, physical fitness, fieldcraft and battle craft. 

Cadets from seven districts are taking part in the camp.
