Dimapur, April 12 (EMN): Heavy rains drenched Zunheboto on Tuesday, triggering landslides in adjoining areas and forcing authorities to divert traffic from the affected areas.

According to a press release, heavy downpour triggered landslides in the Chakabama – Zunheboto region and authorities were advised to divert traffic away from the area for at least five days.

Sources from Madhucon projects at the affected site said that there were no casualties aside from debris blocking an important road in the area.

The source also said that the clearing of debris from the affected road will take around three to five days and authorities had been notified of the situation.
