Tovihoto and others condole Hokivi’s demise

Dimapur, August 4 (EMN): Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Tovihoto Ayemi, is saddened over the untimely demise of late H. Hokivi Chishi, president of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry on August 4 in Dimapur.
“Hokivi Chishi was a renowned person who contributed enormously to the society in various capacities. As a businessman who also served as a DMC member, Hokivi tirelessly worked for the welfare and uplift of the business community. As a dynamic leader, he was deeply rooted with the grassroot people and won their hearts through his humanitarian works. He gained wide admiration from both old and young for his easy accessibility and readiness to help anyone in need of his assistance” said Ayemi.
In his demise, Ayemi lamented that the Nagas, business community and Sumis in particular have lost one of the tallest leaders and the vacuum created therein would be difficult to fill in the days to come.
Ayemi and family conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and relatives and prays for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
KCCI: Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of late Hokivi Chishi, Interim president of Confederation of Nagaland Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CNCCI), president of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), former DMC member and a Naga Youth Icon.
KCCI said throughout his life late Chishi blazed a trail for traders and regretted the vacuum created by his demise. KCCI extended deepest sympathy and prayers to the bereaved family during this time of grief.
MCCI: The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) is saddened to learn of the passing of late Hokivi Chishi, president of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry. MCCI on behalf of the members of the business community of Mokokchung extended condolences to the bereaved family and pray that his soul rest in eternal peace.
DUCCF: Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF) mourned the sudden demise of late Hokivi Chishi. DUCCF extended its heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family.
“Late Chishi was a dynamic leader who served the needy public in various capacities. He was a man of principle who stood for fairness in all dealings. Besides leading the business community of the commercial hub of the state, he was a philanthropist and a social activist. His service for the public as a core member of ACAUT surpasses all. The void created by his departure will be deeply felt by one and all who knew him” DUCCF said. The federation also prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
EDBA: East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) has expressed sadness over the demise of late Hokivi Chishi, president of DCCI. EDBA said late Chishi was a dynamic man who tirelessly worked for the society at different capacity and his contribution in politics, business and social work has helped the society a lot.
EDBA lamented that his sudden demise has created a vacuum which will be very difficult to fill.
EDBA president, Solomon L. Awomi, said his creative approach, to building peaceful Dimapur and his hard work will always inspire us. The association conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family, friends and DCCI fraternity during this time of grief and further pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
WSH: Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has condoled the death of late Hokivi Chishi, president of DCCI and former DMC member. The hoho said late Chishi was a young dynamic leader of Sumis in particular and Nagas in general. WSH lamented that his demise is a great loss for the business community and public of Dimapur and the gap created will be hard to fill. Further, on behalf of the Sumi public, WSH conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.
SCD: The Sumi Council Dimapur (SCD) has expressed shock over the untimely demise of late Hokivi Chishi, President of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries. SCD described him as a promising leader of the town who involved in various activities for the welfare of the people. The council regretted his untimely demise which has created an irreparable void. It also expressed that he will be missed by all section the people, particular the business community of the town. Further, SCD conveyed condolences to his wife, children and relatives and pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
WSSU: Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has condoled the demise of its senior leader late Hokivi Chishi. The union said he was selfless and an icon for youths, who never hesitate to stand up for the society and particular for youth and student community.
“He had contributed physically, mentally, materially and financially to students’ community and served in various capacities for the union as committee members and convener. As a president of DCCI, he brought many innovative changes and fought for corruption and injustice as active member of ACAUT” said WSSU.
WSSU further expressed heartfelt condolence to bereaved family and pray that the departed soul rest in peace.
NSCN/GPRN: NSCN/GPRN has expressed grief and sorrow at the demise of late Hukivi Chishi, president of Dimapur Chambers of Commerce, who passed away on August 4, after a prolong illness. In a condolence message the authorities of UT-I, NSCN/GPRN and staffs conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.

CCN: Concerned Citizens of Nagaland (CCN) has expressed deepest condolence to the bereaved family of late Hokivi Chishi, a dynamic leader and a giant personality who had been a driving force of DCCI, NMBWA and ACAUT and had also who served in DMC. CCN lamented the loss of a valuable personality, whose philanthropic acts and selfless dedication as a concerned citizen is irreplaceable. CCN pray to the Almighty God to keep his soul and to give comfort and solace to the bereaved family.
CNTC: The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has expressed sadness over the demise of late Hokivi Chishi, president of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and former DMC member. “Hokivi Chishi was a renowned social worker who was known to every Dimapurian and his great philanthropic works will always be cherished and remembered by all the denizens of the town” CNTC said. The council while conveying its deepest condolences for the departed leader also prayed to the Almighty to grant solace and strength to the bereaved family members.
DDCF: The Dimapur District Citizens Forum (DDCF) is shocked at the sudden demise of late Hokivi Chishi after a brief illness in the early hours of August 4, at Eden Medical Centre, Dimapur.
While extending sympathy with the bereaved family, the forum also prays to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
DDCF also recalled the works of late Chishi for the welfare of the citizens of Dimapur and expressed pain at the demise of such a prominent social worker of Dimapur. He was a trustworthy person who was always ready to stand up for the truth, it added. DDCF lamented the loss of such a prominent figure of Dimapur which may take many years to fill the gap.
BJYM Dimapur: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Dimapur is shocked over the untimely demise of its party member, late Hokivi Chishi. “His contributions to the party have been immense and he guided party workers at different times. His renowned personality has been widely admired and his contributions to the business community are also well known” said BJYM. The morcha expressed that his demise is a huge loss to the party and the Nagas. It also regretted the wide chasm created by his demise which will be difficult to fill. The BJYM Dimapur conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul to rest in heavenly peace.
MCC: The Muslim Council Dimapur (MCC) is shaken by the sudden and untimely demise of late Hokivi Chishi, a prominent public figure of Dimapur and a person who was closely associated with the Muslim community of Dimapur. MCC condoled the death of late Chishi and prays to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul peace and the bereaved family to bear the loss. MCD expressed that it will not forget his valuable service rendered to the council and also the contributions he had made for different organizations.
HBC: The Hindu Bengali Community (HBC), Dimapur is grieved by the death of late Hokivi Chishi, president of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, on August 4 after a brief illness.
“Late Hokivi was a dynamic leader of this town and dedicated his time and energy for the welfare of the society. He was a popular leader amongst the entire cosmopolitan population of the town and mingled with all sections cutting across caste, creed and religion. His death has created a big vacuum which will be difficult to fill” HBC said. While expressing deepest condolences to his family members, HBC Dimapur pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
Dimapur Bongs: The Dimapur Bongs has condoled the death of late Hukavi Chishi. Dimapur Bongs described him as a courageous and dedicated person who made a huge contribution to the peace process and the emergence of the power sharing institutions in Dimapur. On behalf of the members of Bongs, the president conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and pray for his soul to rest in peace.
State BJP Minority Morcha: BJP State Minority Morcha has mourned the untimely demise of late Hokivi Chisi. In a condolence message general secretary, Longshi Kikon described him as a true leader and dedicated party man who had worked tirelessly for the people. The association lamented that in his demise, the business community of Dimapur and the Nagas in general and Sumis in particular have lost a tall figure and the vacuum created would be difficult to fill.
