Mokokchung, Aug. 3 (EMN): Throttle Thrust third edition organised by Spearhead Motorsports Initiation (SMI) at Longkhum village culminated successfully at Longkhum village with Tongpang Ozukum, Minister of PWD as the chief patron on Friday.

As reported earlier, the competition was divided into two segment- Hill climb on August 2 and Autocross on August 3 with competition below 1300 CC, above 1300 CC and SUV categories.

In below 1300 CC- Alem I Jamir from team AMAM clinched the title by beating Meren Imsong (first runners-up) from team Spearhead and Lima Jamir (second runners-up) from Team NAC.

In above 1300 CC- Roukubeituo Kense from team NAC was adjudged as the winner, he was accompanied by Kevin Ruro from NAC and Sandeep Sharma from Delhi as the first and second runners-up respectively.

In SUV category: Kamalesh Das from MSAM, Meghalaya beat Sandeep Sharma from Delhi (first runners-up) and Roukubeituo Kense from team NAC (second runners-up) respectively.

In the individual award, Imlikumzuk from team Spearhead was awarded the rock of the year and the most promising driver went to Tongmeshim Longkumer.  The overall champion was bagged by Alem I Jamir from team AMAM.

Earlier, the chief patron lauded the SMI for their likeminded motive to promote young motor enthusiasts from both outside and across the state by organising the event for the third time.

Congratulating the winner and participants, the minister also said that winning is important but it is the participants that count. Ozukum also expressed his gratitude to the Longkhum Village Council and Youth organisation and student body of the village for the generosity and warm hospitality to both the spectators and the participants.
