Three injured in road mishap

Wokha, Sep. 23 (EMN): One person lost his left leg and other two sustained serious injuries in a road accident which occurred on September 20 near the Bhandari police check post around 7:30 p.m., a delay report said.
The ill fated goods laden dumper truck bearing registration No. AS0 5C 4782 was heading towards Wokha from Merapani when it fell 75 to 80 feet below the road.
According to 2nd OC of Bhandari Police Station, Woben Jami, one occupants completely lost his left leg from below the knee, while the other two occupants identified as Gopal Bardewa, the driver, and Bipulab Das, reported to be the son of the owner of the truck, sustained seriously injuries.
They were all given first aid treatment at the CHC Bhandari before the police shifted them to Golaghat Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of accident is under inquiry, added the OC. On August 28, two passengers lost their lives in a similar road accident.
