‘The Matrix Resurrections’ trailer sees Keanu Reeves return as Neo

Dimapur, September 9 (EMN): Warner Bros. on Thursday released the first trailer for ‘The Matrix Resurrections,’ the fourth movie from the popular ‘The Matrix‘ franchise.

Warner Bros. previously launched a teaser for the upcoming film on the website which showed users a series of clips from the upcoming film.

The full trailer sees Keanu Reeves return as Neo alongside familiar faces like Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) and the Merovingian (Lambert Wilson).

The trailer starts off with Neo talking with his therapist (Neil Patrick Harris) and asking him if he is crazy. Neo begins to question his reality and is seen consuming blue pills. He encounters both Jessica Henwick‘s unknown character and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II‘s Morpheus-like figure and the latter offers him a red and a blue pill just like in the first movie. Neo takes the red pill which begins to unravel the mysteries of the Matrix once more.

Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jones, Daniel Bernhardt and Christina Ricci are also poised to make an appearance in the movie.

The Matrix Resurrections is scheduled for a theatrical release and HBO Max simultaneously on December 22.
