Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): A thanks giving Holy Mass celebration for religious profession of Sr. Medosenu Jacinta Thakro was held at sacred Heart Church, Khuzama on April 30. Rev. Fr Raymond D’Souza SJ was the main celebrant. Other priests, Sr. superiors and family members joined the religious joine.
Rev. Fr. Jerome SJ, former Parish Priest, Mary of Christians, Jakhama, said a child in a family and joined in religious profession is a gift from God. He also said the faith of Christian life would measure from two aspects like material development like church building and number of people joins in the religious profession. Jesus offered himself into bread and wine for people’s salvation and he is the way, the truth and the life that is how Christians followed him, Rev. Jerome added.
Sr. Medosenu shared her testimony how she joined in a religious profession. She expressed gratitude to God for giving her a chance to serve him and Rev. Fr Ramond D’Souza SJ and Rev. Fr Thomas Muttathil, Parish Priest of Kidima and Fr. Patrick (her uncle) who have inspired her in different ways.
Special numbers were presented by Sr. Medosenu and sisters, Khuzama Catholic Youth Association.
Rev. Fr Arul SJ, Regional Superior of North East India, Rev. Fr Hector D’Souza SJ former Principal of St Joseph’s College, Jakhama, Rev. Fr Thomas Muttathil, Parish Priest, Kidima and Priest from different Parishioners, Sisters from various congregation and faithful from the Diocese, neighbouring villages and well-wishers joined the celebration.
