TGOUN stages ‘Trendz- O-Mania’ in Kohima

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE department of Fashion Technology of The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN) staged ‘Trendz-O-Mania’, the 3rd Annual Fashion Show of the university displaying an array of creations of its students, at Molu Ki, Kohima Wednesday evening.
Minister for Roads & Bridges and Parliamentary Affairs, Kuzholuzo Nienu, who graced the occasion as “man of the event”, lauded the university authorities on coming up with a full-fledged department on fashion technology. He observed that the Naga people possess an inborn quality of fashion sense and they are very fashion conscious. While terming such quality as a good thing, Nienu opined that the people should always remember not to go to the extent of being vulgar. On a lighter note, the minister said he himself has a passion for fashion. “I believe when you dress well, it builds up your confidence level,” he added.
The first Naga female Olympian and recipient of Arjuna Award 2013, archer Chekrovolu Swuro made a special appearance at the event. Renowned Naga designer, Rosou Rhi coordinated the event.
