Dimapur, Feb. 29 (EMN):
The Tenyimi Students’ Union of Dimapur (TSUD) has launched an app by the name ‘Daddysroad App,’ stated to consist of a vehicle safety car sticker with a QR decal code that gives notification to vehicle owners.

The app was launched on February 29 at the Tenyimi complex in Dimapur during a programme attended by Dimapur police commissioner Rothihu Tetseo as the special guest.

Speaking during the occasion, Tetseo expressed serious concern at the chaotic traffic in Dimapur stating that unless citizens cooperate it would be difficult to address the problem. Tetseo has sought citizens’ participation to solve the city’s traffic problems.

The official talked about safety measures and cautioned that more people would be killed in road accidents after completion of the four-lane road if one does not inculcate discipline while driving.

The Motor Vehicles Act in Nagaland is not implemented properly in Nagaland as it is very expensive, and if followed, it would be like extortion, he said.

He urged the Tenyimi students to work for the benefit of the society and not for business motives.

‘Daddysroad App’ president C Kezo said he decided to launch the app in Nagaland as it would benefit people. He said the app is not to enforce law and order but to help car owners.
According to Kezo, the app is a vehicle safety solution which consists of a mobile app, safety QR decals and vehicles trackers. The application is useful for contacting vehicle owners in times of wrong parking, traffic obstruction, or even in times of emergencies like accidents.
He said the app can also help vehicle owners store vehicle-related documents and set reminders for renewals. Further, with vehicle trackers installed, owners or family members can track the location of their vehicles.
One can download Daddysroad from the Play Store. However, the tracker and the safety QR sticker would be made available for INR 500 at the Tenyimi Complex in Dimapur.
