Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): The community health centre (CHC) at Tening town in Peren district received five oxygen concentrators from Delhi-based charitable trust namely Democracy People’s Foundation and United Way of India.
A DIPR report stated that the medical relief was coordinated and facilitated through Breathe Easy Consultancy and the office of the additional deputy commissioner, Tening.
The consignment was received by Dr. Nuksang Jamir, MO Ayush of CHC Tening, which was delivered by EAC Tening, Tumben P Tsanglao, on July 14.
While acknowledging the kind gesture of all those involved in timely delivery of the equipment, the medical officer mentioned that the additional oxygen concentrators would augment the much needed capacity up-gradation of the recently inaugurated community health centre. He thanked all the individuals, donors and organisations, who have helped in raising funds and facilitating the delivery of the much needed equipment.
Dr. Jamir further reiterated the need for additional medical officers and staff as well as infrastructure augmentation for the recently upgraded CHC to strengthen effective delivery of health services in the sub-division.
