Tech festival Ekarikthin underway at NIT Nagaland

Dimapur, March. 6 (EMN): The sixth edition of
‘Ekarikthin’, a tech festival, got underway on Friday at the National Institute
of Technology (NIT) Nagaland, Chümoukedima, offering technical, sporting and
cultural activities besides competitions.
Ekarikthin 2020, a two-day event which will culminate on Saturday, is organised every year between March and April by the students of NIT. More than 20 educational institutions and universities are taking part in this year’s festival which celebrates culture and technology.
The activities and competitions on the first day of the festival included mobile legends, need for speed, dotta-2, futsal, beatbox battle, art attack, junkyard, voice of Ekarikthin, codex, roadies, and Ritzy (Mr and Miss Ekarikthin).
The second day of the festival will witness finals of CS GO and dotta-2. Other activities and competitions listed for the second day are PUBG mobile, mud race, gully cricket, rythmix, inquisitive, debugging, spellcraft and cosplay.
Another highlight of the final day is the auditions for RockVille (battle of the bands), where Polar Lights, one of the most successful rock bands in Nagaland, will make a special appearance. Another thriller of the day is the DJ night featuring DJ Aloza, the first certified female DJ from Nagaland.
