Wokha, Jan. 8 (EMN): Black Caps won against White Woods in the first match of the ongoing T20 Winter Cricket Challenge at local ground, Wokha on Saturday.

White Woods won the toss and opted to bat first setting a target of 104 runs all out in 17.4 overs. Ali claimed four wickets in 3.2 overs, ten runs and Kuhusin claimed two wickets in a four overs, 23 runs for Black Caps.

Black Caps registered an easy win in 11.1 overs losing three wickets. Along made 25 runs and Ali, who scored 28 runs not out, was declared the man of the match. Chonben of White Woods in 3 overs, 11 runs claimed a wicket.

In the second match of the day, Rising Star played against PWD. Rising Star won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a target of 117 runs all out in 19.4 overs. Khyolamo and Chupon of Rising Star contributed 24 runs and 17 runs each.

Sohail in his four overs, 7 runs and Abu in his four overs, 22 runs, claimed two wickets each for PWD.

For PWD, Abu made 23 runs and Meyibur made 19 runs (not out), taking the team to victory by two wickets in 15.3 overs.

Thungchio of Rising Star (four overs, 27 runs) and Wodemo (two overs, 14 runs) claimed two wickets each. Abu of PWD was declared the man of the match.

On Jan. 9 (Sunday), Imperials take on Juggernauts in the first match while Hornbill CC play against Lower CHHS Youth Organisation in the second match.
