Symposium on career guidance held in Zunheboto
DIMAPUR — The Zunheboto district administration, in collaboration with Emporium Skills Training Institute, held a symposium on career guidance at Zunheboto town hall on Saturday.
Delivering the opening remarks, the SDO of Zunheboto, Sukhalu Chishi, exhorted the participants to learn to be self-disciplined and wholeheartedly persist to achieve their goals, to aim for higher targets and to make career out of any given opportunities and utilisation of every sources.
The EAC of Zunheboto, Chinglem Konyak, who chaired the programme, stressed that not every educated person can be accommodated in government jobs. He expressed hope that the particular event could be blessings to find gainful employment.
He further appealed to the participants to make the best of the seminar.
Resource persons and operations manager-cum-overseas placement executive, Allin Awomi, expressed pleasure to see the students to be self-reliant and get themselves employed. She informed that the institute offers two-month training with possible job placements abroad and home prioritising five-star establishments after completion of the training.
She has briefed on aviation industry and detailed about the attributes on eligibility (cabin crew eligibility/ ground staff eligibility) and overseas placements with salary.
Another resource person and business development executive-cum-hospitality trainer, Imsumeren Imsong, highlighted on hospitality industry including attributes and eligibility criteria, benefits, salary packages, success stories, facility of women etc.
Altogether, 158 registered members along with representative from student bodies and district administration attended the programme.
