Dimapur, July 9 (EMN): One person identified as Simon, son of Milon and resident of Ghorapatti in Dimapur, who was found in an unconscious state in Kohima, died in a hospital while undergoing treatment on July 9.
According to a police report issued by the additional superintendent of police and PRO, personnel from the North Police Station found Simon in an unconscious state following report from the residents of planning department quarters in New Secretariat on July 5. The resident reportedly informed the police about one person attempting to commit suicide.
Police have found him lying unconscious on the ground with injury/incised wound on the left abdomen and multiple razor cut on his neck. The injured person was admitted to NHAK for medical assistance.
However, on July 9 he succumbed to injuries from the hospital while undergoing medical treatment. It stated that the dead body has been brought to North PS and kept in the morgue as no relatives or community members have come to claim the body.
