THE main accused, Vikheho Awomi, in the assault and murder of the student of Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, Akivito A Sumi, on December 28 has been arrested by a team of Dimapur police and Special Branch personnel from Zhekishe village today morning.
Vikheho, 23, son of Nivishe Awomi of Zhekishe under Niuland sub-division of Dimapur was absconding and evading arrest.
The accused has admitted to the crime and has been remanded to custody for further investigation, Additional Superintendent of Police/PRO, Dimapur said in a release today.
