The 1st edition of Northeast Strongman India competition was held in Dimapur on November 5. Tsuknungakum from Nagaland was the winner of Northeast Strongman India under 95+ kg category, while 1st and 2nd runner-up went to Siddharth Saikia and Mukti Shyam respectively, and both from Assam.
The strongest man of Northeast India title for under 90 kg category went to Vikas Vsham from Manipur; strongest man of Northeast India title under 75 kg category went to Vici Bu from Nagaland; and Rahul Teran from Assam won the 60 kg category event. Meanwhile, Tamhidi from Assam was declared as the strongest women of Northeast India under 65+ kg category and Binti Borah, also from Assam, was declared as the strongest women of Northeast India for under 65 kg category.
