Strong wind destroys at least six houses in Manipur

Imphal, May 9 (EMN): Rain accompanied by strong winds destroyed atleast six houses on May 9 Wednesday at Busau village under Singhat constituency and Churachandpur district in Manipur.

The incident took place around 1:30 pm forcing the affected villagers in desperate need of shelter. However there are no reports of human casualties during the incident.

Besides Churachandpur district, other parts of the state including the state capital also witnessed heavy rain around on Wednesday.
