Stolen vehicle recovered in Karbi Anglong

Diphu, Oct. 2 (EMN): Karbi Anglong police recovered one stolen Jeep Compass during a special naka checking at Dillai police checkpoint on Wednesday.

The vehicle was recovered from one Sikandar Das alias Munna and a resident of 81 EK Dalia Road, Baliganj PS Gariahhat district, Calcutta 19. His permanent address is Tikamagha village under Mirjaganj in Jharkhand.

The stolen Jeep Compass bore registration no. WB-10-1818. As per information received, the stolen vehicle was moving towards Dimapur while it was intercepted. On enquiry about the documents, the driver failed to produce any concrete evidence, the police stated.

A case has been registered at Dillai police station in this connection.
