Mkg workshop review green zone project  
A workshop on preparation of Tzula (Dikhu) Green Zone Management Plan was held in the Circuit House of Mokokchung on Monday. The workshop was organized by Tzula Green Zone Management Committee.  Representatives of the Foundation for Ecological Security of Guwahati and the Nagaland Empowerment and People through Economic Development (NEPED) attended the brainstorming. The conservation project is taken up by the village council of Longsa and Ungma village in Mokokchung. The workshop highlighted a documentary on conservation of Dikhu presented by NES. The documentary is to be presented at an international platform as part of promotions of the project.  The meeting discussed the background of the community conservation area system and also reviewed plans to be incorporated.

Rengma students’ comm. to meet
The committee meeting of the 38th Rengma Students’ Union general conference has been scheduled to be held on 30th July in the DUDA guest house in Kohima from 11:00 am. All the members of the various committees are requested to attend the proposed meeting without fail. Members are requested to consider this publication as an official intimation, as no separate circulars would be given out, a note from the union said today.

LLRPO emergency meeting
The Lotha Lower Range Public Organization has convened an emergency meeting in the Bhandari Town Hall on August 1 from 10:00 am. The meeting is to discuss the foot hill road alignment and construction, a note received here today said. All the village chairmen, GBs, Bhandari Town Hoho, Eloe Hoho of Bhandari and elders are asked to attend the meeting. The LLRPO also informed members to submit agendas for discussion to the president or secretary before the meeting commences.

Blood donation on July 30
A blood donation camp organized by the department of Youth Resources & Sports will be held on July 30 from 10 AM in the TT Indoor Stadium of Kohima. Minister for Youth Resources & Sports Merentoshi R Jamir will be the chief guest of the occasion.

WD secy gets new assignments
The government of Nagaland has designated the secretary of Women Development as the state-level officer to coordinate issues connected with the welfare of women and children in the state of Nagaland including matter relating to sexual harassment of women and children. The Administration Reforms branch issued a notification on July 26 stating the assignment.

Noklak’s SDPDB meet
The sub divisional planning and development board of Noklak (SDPDB) has conducted its monthly review. The SDPDB for the month of July was held on July 26 in the KTC Hall. The meeting was chaired by deputy chairman of the state planning board P Longon.
After a lengthy discussion, a number of recommendations were made. They include construction of a government school building in Noklak town, electrification of the APRO office and a staff quarter, construction of an EAC quarter in Chingmei headquarter, creation of a medical sub-centre at Wonsoi, Dan and Yakao village.

IGNWPS forms to be issued
The District Welfare Officer has informed that the department will include 204 widows under the Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme, (IGNWPS). The inclusion is for those under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category and between the age group of 40-59 years. The District Welfare Officer has informed all in concern that forms would be issued from July 30 from the District Welfare Office.

ENPO to rally in Shamator
The people of Shamator held a public rally on July 24 “in support of ENPO demand.” The programme was held at public ground at 10 am onwards. A host of ENPO, ENSF, YAA, YWO, YTC, YBBA members and a huge gathering of GBs from neighboring villages as well as the public attended the rally.

Call for JEE-(main) candidates
All the JEE-(main) candidates of 2013 selected under Nagaland state quota reserved seats are informed that the list(s) of engineering institutions along with their websites, number of seats and state are being made available on the website iresultfly.com as well as the departmental notice board. All selected candidates are requested to visit the website of the institutions where their respective courses are available, a note received here said. The candidates are asked to come prepared for the counseling/posting.
