Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): Nagaland recorded one new Covid-19 positive case in Mokokchung on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 35,476 and active caseload to 16.
The state’s cumulative recoveries stands at 33, 217 with no new recoveries in the last 24 hours.
The death toll stands at 755 with no new death reported during the same period.
Out of the 16 active cases in the state, 14 are asymptomatic, one mild and one moderate on oxygen.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, 12 are in Dimapur, two in Wokha and one each in Kiphire and Mokokchung; while the remaining districts are currently Covid-free.
India reports 1,225 new cases
With 1,225 new coronavirus infections reported in a day, India’s Covid tally rose to 4,30,24,440, while the active cases dipped to 14,307, the Union Health ministry said on Thursday.
The death toll climbed to 5,21,129 with 28 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
Meanwhile, 1,594 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,24,89,004.
India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 184.06 crore (1,84,06,55,005).
