Dimapur, June 3 (EMN): St Thomas Mission Society, a philanthropic society, felicitated Jannat Aktar, HSLC 11th rank holder from MGM Higher Secondary School, at the school premises on June 1.
Delivering the welcome address, the school principal, Reji Abraham, congratulated all the successful candidates from MGMHSS.
The school vice-president and society’s secretary, Rev. Fr. Dr. PS Varghse, stated that “Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.”
He has highlighted the different scholarship provided by the mission society for the students of MGMHSS and MGM College some of which included Mar Theodosius Meritorious (MTM) for toppers, Mar Dionysius meritorious award for rank holders and university toppers, KV Ponnan meritorious scholarship for term end exam toppers, and Priyanka Ganta meritorious scholarship for Class-11 toppers and college second semester topper.
Besides, state first 20 rank holders are provided full free education, with 50% concession for students who scored above 90%, 40% concession for students who scored 80-90% and 30% concession for students who scored 70-80 %.
Jannat was awarded Mar Theodosius Meritorious scholarship and a special gift from the school.
