St. John’s School at Diphupar holds cultural fest 2018

Students of St. John’s School Diphupar ‘B’ participating in the cultural and talent show that was held on Nov. 1 and 2.

Dimapur, Nov. 7 (EMN): Saint John’s High School Diphupar ‘B’ held its cultural fest-cum-talent show at the school premises in a grand manner on Nov. 1 and 2 which was enthusiastically attended by students and parents of the school.Students of different classes showcased their competitive spirits at the programme which commenced with a graceful traditional dance performed by the Class-IX students at the opening ceremony.

The day-event witness events such as scripture recitation, dances, melodious music, beat boxing, extempore speeches, drawing and poster making, solo competition, traditional and fancy dress competition followed by amazing performances by the tiny-tots of St. John’s pre-nursery and nursery students.

A debate competition on the topic, ‘are social networking sites a curse or a boon for the students’ was also held for the students of Class IX and X which turned out to be very beneficial for the students are it prepared them to use their interpersonal skills and also share their knowledge. On the second day, all the students and teachers turned up in traditional dress at the school which was a new experience for all.

During the valedictory programme, the Headmaster, Johnny Abraham, while delivering his speech, stressed on the importance for arranging such an event and encouraged the students for their laudable performances.20181102 114734

He also thanked the teachers for their great contributions in making the event a successful one.
All the participants — the students, the teachers and the parents — thoroughly enjoyed the cultural event and highly appreciated the school authority for organising such an event as it showcased many aspects of the Naga culture and also make the students appreciate the cultural values of the different tribes and communities, and also displayed the versatility of the students.

The two-day long programme was president by teachers Tilraj, Rhonthungo and Jully, this was stated in a press release issued by the school.
