Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): The Sand Stockist and Suppliers Union Dimapur (SSSUD) has cautioned that it would initiate strict action against individuals found indulging in hiking the price of sand for their own selfish benefits.
SSSUD, in a press release, stated that the union held a meeting on Thursday to discuss on issue pertaining to the indefinite bandh of sand supply at Manja route.
“The undersigned deliberated in details on matter of exorbitant raise in the price of sand and found out that some individual adopted by the Naga has been conspiring with the counterparts and deliberately looting the Naga populace by shooting up the price of sand at their own whims and fancies,” the union stated.
SSSUD warned those individuals to desist themselves from unwarranted activities that jeopardise the interest of the Naga people.
The union also resolved to open the supply of sand at Manja route from December 2 and fixed the rate INR 55 per cft (stock rate).
