Spirit of Tsüngremmong played out at State Stadium

Riding on the festive spirit of Tsungremmong, the Dimapur Ao Lanur Telongjem-a forum formed by Ao youth of Dimapur-on Friday organized a sporting event at State Stadium, Dimapur. The one-day event witnessed participation from members of Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo Youth Ministry (DABAYM), Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Dimapur (AKTD) and hosts Dimapur Ao Lanur Telongjem (DALT). Youth from DABAYM took the honors in football while hosts DALT clinched the prize in cricket. In the penalty shoot-out for girls of DABAYM and AKTD, the former emerged victorious.  According to president of DALT, K Longri Imchen, the event was organized to strengthen the bond among Ao youth, particularly in Dimapur. “We have a vision for the future and we hope that this event would help us forge stronger bond and unity among us,” he said.
