O Jerusalem, wash the evil from your heart and be saved. How long will you harbour wicked thoughts? Jeremiah 4:14
The “City of God” as she is called, Jerusalem had defied God, defiling herself even to the extend of defaming her own name and the name of her Maker. The sins of this beautiful city were so high that God had to punish her even as He rebuked her of her sins. This is what we are and Jerusalem is what we are compared to. Just walk around the town to see if there are any who does good, you will find that the wickedness of the wicked will be at its worst. The sins of Jerusalem represents our sins and it is we who must think more seriously of what eternity means to us. The realities of heaven and hell is as serious as the Word is and it will be a double tragedy for anyone to ever reject the message of salvation like Nabal did.The heart of this sinner was only bent on evil and the way he died is on indication of the destruction of the wicked. He did not love his wife and his hatred of God’s people was also as cruel as his heart was and the end result of his folly only led to his own damnation. Just look at this once and think of the cross of Christ as you read this. Remember, the Lord calls everyone to repentance and it will not be wise to pray like the hypocrites of the old. God desires holiness of his Bride and of his people and it will be disastrous to be rejected like the five foolish virgins who had no oil. The desire for the truth must come from within and it is only in the truth that this desire can be conceived. Though the wickedness of the wicked increases, God’s people are not to set their eyes on it, neither are they to see it in the guise of pretext. Remember, the sins of Jerusalem are not our sins, neither are our sins theirs. On the contrary, the guilt of their own sins are theirs and the iniquities of our own sins are ours.
The truth is also this: There are two reasons why we cry over sins, the first is over our own sins, while the next is over the sins of others. It is in our desire to forget our every sin and it is what we are awaiting, awaiting a future which will embrace us for eternity. Remember, these words which I speak are not my own, these are sacred revelations and it has to be honored and most importantly God’s word has to be honored. The sins of our lives must be confessed more than we wash our hands when we take food then sin shall not be our downfall. The dead cannot confess their sins, neither can the fallen angels be redeemed by the blood Christ. The reality is that the dead are dead and the demons are cursed and for the ones who are cursed eternally, hell will be their final destination. There shall be no house, no places of entertainment in hell but the screams of the sinners and the demons within her will echo for eternity. The evils of the Israelites were so evil and so are ours and it will be unwise to multiply sin, rather than increasing in holiness. The Church pleads with every sinner to wash the evils from their hearts and to be reconciled to God in true righteousness, holiness and purity. Remember the past is the past and the future the future. The Church of Holiness reaches out to everyone to embrace salvation as they would their desire. The mystery of eternity awaits everyone who loves Christ. The truth is our desire.

N.B: The sins of Jerusalem are a clear depiction of the evils of the world and it will be wicked to be wicked. Every sin committed under the sun must be conferred and every evil within us must be purged out. The Church commands everyone to think of the cross if they are ever to sin and it exhorts everyone to be true to God. The salvation of God is within us.
