School Education dept. issues directives

Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): In pursuance to government’s order dated January 8, 2022, the principal director School Education, Shanavas C, has issued directives and advisories for strict compliance by all concerned. 

1. The safety of Covid vaccine for children of age group from 15-18 years and above has been certified by the competent authority and vaccination drive has already commenced in many states. All parents are advised to get their children in the age group 15 – 18 years voluntarily vaccinated for Covid-19 at the nearest government Covid-19 vaccination centres free of cost as per the schedule notified by the department of Health and Family Welfare.

2. Admission for students of classes I and above should be done as per the schedule notified vide the office notification dated December 15, 2021.

3. Conduct of normal classes (offline mode) for students studying up to class 8 stand suspended/ closed till January 31, 2022.

4. Schools may resume conduct of online classes for students of classes 1 to 8/9.

5. Conduct of normal classes (offline mode) for students of classes 9 to 12 is permitted subjected to the following condition; Any student of class 9 and above whose age is 15 and above should be allowed to attend normal/ offline classes only if he/ she has taken at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19.

6. Head of all high and higher secondary schools under state board (both government and private) should submit the number of students enrolled in their schools in the age group of 15 – 18 years at the activity tab provided at the school monitoring portal https://school.dosenl.in/ on or before January 14 without fail.

7. Head of all schools under CBSE and ICSE boards (both government and private) should submit the number of students enrolled in their schools in the age group of 15 – 18 years through email to director.se.nagaland@gmail.com on or before January 14 without fail.

It further stated that notification regarding organising of special vaccination drive for students in the age group 15 -18 years would be issued after ascertaining the number of students enrolled in the age group of 15 – 18 years.
