Scholars from Thailand to study socio-cultural systems

Mokokchung, Jan. 22 (EMN): A delegation of scholars
from Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand, has reached Mokokchung
on January 22 to student local cultural systems.
The team is lead by Veera Phansue, assistant professor and project director, department of Thai and ASIAN Music, Faculty of Fine Arts at Srinakharinwirot University along with four members namely Supakarn Pimpisarn, Tararat Runganothaikun, Sirirat Khongpia and Panida Boonnakkaew.
The team has been invited to Mokokchung specifically to interact with civil society organisations and Ao villages for familiarisation with the socio-cultural and traditional systems of the Ao Nagas.
The team is accompanied by two members from the Tai Ahom Students Union namely Rajib Borgohain, advisor and Manash Protim Chetia, TWC National Coordinator for India. The scholars will be returning to their homeland on January 24.
