Saptiqa area students ask govt. teachers to report for duty

Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): The Saptiqa Area Students Union (SASU) on Sep. 20 directed those irregular teachers at Government High School Saptiqa to report to their place of posting immediately otherwise the union would initiate its own course of action.

The SASU President Toino Awomi, in a press release, stated that the union undertook an ‘educational tour’ of all the schools under its jurisdiction on Sep. 19 and 20, during which the union members interacted with the students and the teaching staff and impressed upon the teachers on the need to impart quality education ‘for a just society’.

However, the union were dismayed over the irregularity of the teachers posted at government high school Saptiqa. Therefore, it demanded those irregular teachers to immediately return to their place of posting “failing which the union will not hesitate to mention the name of those teachers and initiate its own course of action”
It said that the yearly academic session has almost come to an end, and added that the union will not compromise on the career of the students due to the negligence of those irregular teachers.
