Sao Chang College organises online programme on faculty development

Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Sao Chang College organised a five-day online faculty development programme on effective teaching techniques and skills for career advancement from June 23 to the 28th.

Faculty members and research scholars from different parts of the country participated, with around 180 to 190 participants, an update said.

Longtichang Tzudir, principal In-charge of the college, welcomed all the participants and resource persons to the online FDP.

On the first day, Dr. Kulendra C Das Patni Ambedkar ,Asst. Prof., Department of Environment Science, Pachhunga University College, Mizoram University delivered a talk on “Research project:design and methods” where he emphasised on how to write research projects for faculty and research scholars and also shared different funding agencies available in the country.

On the second day, Dr.Elizabeth Walling, Principal, SCTE, Kohima delivered a talk on “Innovativeteaching-learning strategies and classroom management”. She highlighted the importance on the role of teachers in shaping the community and explained the different techniques on how teachers can help the students learn for obtaining maximum knowledge.

On the third day, Dr.Raghunandan Das, AssistantProfessor, Govt. Degree College, Dharmanagar,Tripura gave a presentation on the topic “Through digital platform content delivery and evaluation processes”. He highlighted the different ways of content delivery and e-storage to the participants and also the different apps available for content delivery and evaluation processes.

On the fourth day, Dr.Sandip Ratna, AssistantProfessor,SCTE, Kohima, delivered a talk on “Use of Google classroom and Google for teaching learning process” where he elaborated on the use of Google tools for teaching and gave a hands on demonstration.

On the fifth day, Margaret Kathing, Associate Professor, department of Computer Science and Engineering, NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh presented on the topic “ICT tools for teaching” where she highlighted the different aspects of ICT tools.

During the valedictory programme, live feedback was received from the participants, expressing their experiences and knowledge gained during the five days.
