Samsung launches Galaxy A22 5G with Dimensity 700 chipset in India

Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): A few weeks after Samsung launched the Galaxy A22 4G in India, the 5G version has been confirmed to hit the Indian mobile market.

Samsung is set on expanding its 5G smartphones portfolio with the launch of the Galaxy A22 5G. The device will come in two options: one with 6GB of RAM at INR 20,000 and one with 8GB at INR 22,000, both variants will have 128 GB of storage.

The Galaxy A22 5G will be available on Samsung’s official website as well as online stores like Flipkart and Amazon.

“Galaxy A22 5G has been designed keeping in mind evolving consumer needs and comes with segment-leading features like smooth 90Hz display, versatile camera and a fast and efficient processor,” Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head, Mobile Marketing, Samsung India, said in a statement.

Despite sharing the same name, there are notable differences between the Galaxy A22 4G and the Galaxy A22 5G. For instance, there is a 6.6” LCD screen on the 5G model whereas the 4G model has a 6.4” Super AMOLED screen. The A22 4G rocks the Helio G80 SoC whereas the A22 5G packs the Dimensity 700 5G chipset.

The Galaxy A22 5G sports a triple rear camera setup: a 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. There is an 8MP front camera for high-clarity selfies.

Other notable features of the Galaxy A22 5G include a 5000mAh battery, Dolby Atmos support on wired and Bluetooth headsets, 15W USB-C fast charger and 90Hz refresh rate.
